5 Steps to Sustainable Eating Habits

[CLIENT: draft sample post. Review or replace before publishing.]
Lasting changes tend to be small ones. These five steps can help you begin without changing everything at once.
1. Start with what you already eat
Write down a normal day of meals without judging it. It shows you what is already working as well as where a small change could help.
2. Change one thing at a time
Pick one habit, such as adding a vegetable to lunch, and stay with it until it feels normal. Then choose the next one.
3. Plan for your hardest days
Most plans fall apart on the busiest days. Decide in advance what a simple, good-enough meal looks like when time is short.
4. Keep foods you enjoy
A plan with no room for your favourite foods is hard to keep up. Enjoyment is part of eating well.
5. Review and adjust
Every few weeks, ask what has become easy and what still feels hard. Then adjust the plan to suit your life as it is now.
