A thali already brings together many of the things a balanced meal needs. A few questions can help you make the most of it.

Is there a source of protein?

Dal, legumes, curd, paneer, eggs, fish, or meat can all play this role, depending on what you eat.

Are there vegetables?

A sabzi and a simple salad add variety, colour, and fibre. Different vegetables across the week add even more variety.

What about grains?

Roti and rice both have a place. Try mixing in other grains, such as millets, for variety.

Does it suit you?

The right portions depend on your age, activity, and health. If you are unsure what is right for you, a consultation can help you work it out.
