My Approach to PCOS Nutrition

PCOS advice online is often extreme and contradictory. We set that aside and look at what is actually happening for you, then make changes one step at a time.

Understanding Your PCOS

PCOS differs from person to person, so we start with your symptoms, reports, and goals.

Steady, Satisfying Meals

Regular meals with enough protein and fibre, using foods you already enjoy.

Sustainable Habits

Movement, sleep, and stress habits that you can realistically keep up.

Building a Plan for You and Your Goals

Your goals may involve your cycle, energy, skin, fertility, weight, or simply feeling better around food. Your plan starts with what matters most to you.

PCOS Is Not Your Fault

PCOS is a common health condition, and it is not caused by a lack of willpower. Good support should leave you feeling more capable around food, not ashamed of it.

Finding a Balance That Lasts

Many people with PCOS have insulin resistance, and regular, balanced meals can help. We aim for meals that keep you satisfied, not rules that are impossible to keep.

But What About After?

How to Adapt as Life Changes

Changing as You Change

Your needs can shift with age, work, and family plans, so you learn how to adjust your plan yourself.

Working with Your Doctor

Nutrition works alongside your medical care, so we talk about when to take a question to your doctor.

Personalised Support

There Is No One Diet for Everyone

Your plan is written around your symptoms, your goals, and your routine, and we review it together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn How It Works!

Is there one best diet for PCOS?

No. Research does not support a single best diet for everyone with PCOS. The best plan is a balanced one that suits your body and that you can keep up.

Do I need to cut out gluten or dairy?

Not unless you have a specific reason, such as an allergy, coeliac disease, or a food that clearly causes you symptoms. Cutting out food groups without a reason can make eating harder.

Can you help if I am trying to conceive?

Yes. Nutrition can be one part of your preparation, alongside the care you get from your gynaecologist.

Should I take supplements for PCOS?

It depends on you. Some supplements have been studied, with mixed evidence. We look at your diet and reports first, and any supplement should be checked with your doctor.
