My Approach to Early Childhood Nutrition

Feeding a young child can bring a lot of worry and conflicting advice. My work is with you as a parent, to make mealtimes calmer and food choices clearer.

Starting Solids

Practical help with first foods, textures, and family meals.

Fussy Eating

Calm, realistic ways to handle mealtimes when food becomes a struggle.

Family Meals

Meals that work for the whole family, so that you are not cooking separately.

Building a Plan for You and Your Child

Your child's age, health, appetite, and your family's food traditions all shape the plan. We start from what your family already eats.

Small Habits, Built Early

Regular family meals and a relaxed approach to new foods can help children build a comfortable relationship with food.

Finding a Balance at Home

Children's appetites go up and down. We focus on what they eat across a week, not on winning every meal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn How It Works!

When should my baby start solid food?

Around six months is the general recommendation, when your baby shows signs of being ready. Please check with your paediatrician, especially if your baby was premature or has a health condition.

My child is a fussy eater. Is this normal?

It is very common. We look at what is happening around meals as well as what is on the plate, and take it one step at a time.

Does my child need health drinks or supplements?

Many children do not, if they eat a varied diet. Your paediatrician can advise if your child needs a supplement for a specific reason.

I am worried about my child's growth. Can you help?

Please see your paediatrician first, to check for any medical cause. I can then work with you on the food side of the plan.
