My Approach to Diabetes Nutrition

Diabetes asks you to make food decisions every day. My role is to make those decisions clearer and easier to keep up, without taking the enjoyment out of meals.

Understanding Your Reports

We go through your blood sugar results and medication together, so that the plan fits your treatment.

Everyday Meals

Practical ways to build meals with grains, dal, vegetables, and protein, without cooking separately.

Steady Routines

Regular meal timing, movement, and sleep habits that make blood sugar easier to manage.

Building a Plan for You and Your Health

Your results, medication, work hours, food traditions, and budget all shape your plan. Two people with the same diagnosis can need quite different meals.

Food Works Alongside Your Treatment

Good nutrition supports your medical care but does not replace it. Your doctor sets your targets and manages your medication, and your plan is built to fit around them.

Finding a Routine You Can Keep

Small, steady changes are easier to keep up than a complete overhaul. We begin with the changes likely to matter most for you.

But What About After?

How to Keep Going with Confidence

Handling Real Life

You learn how to adapt meals for travel, fasting days, festivals, and eating out.

Knowing When to Ask

We talk through which questions I can help with and which ones to take to your doctor.

Personalised Support

There Is No One Diet for Everyone

Your plan is reviewed alongside your reports and your routine, and it changes when they do.

Frequently Asked Questions

Learn How It Works!

Do I have to give up rice and roti?

Usually not. Portions, the type of grain, and what you eat with it all matter, and we can work these out together.

Can I eat fruit?

Most people can include whole fruit. We work out suitable portions and timing for you.

Can food reverse my diabetes?

Some people with type 2 diabetes see a large improvement in their blood sugar through weight and lifestyle changes, but this varies and I cannot promise it. Please do not stop or change medication without your doctor.

I take insulin or other medication. Is that a problem?

No, but changes to your meals can affect your blood sugar, including the risk of it going too low. We plan changes carefully, and your doctor stays in charge of your medication.
